They lived as one. Would either one know how to get through a day without the other?

Quite often when one spouse goes in a long relationship the grief can be devastating. Can cause a lack of will to carry on.

No surprises, as others have said, and consider his age, 93. At that age we go to bed wondering if we are going to wake up in the morning, and pleased if we do.

Not making light, these are the facts, and any infection at 93 can be dangerous, it might not put younger people in hospital, but as we grow older caution is advisable.

It don't take long after one spouse dies... the other does too.

It reminds me of when Carrie Fisher died and her mother Debbie Reynolds died the next day.
So sad.

It is a peculiar, but not unusual phenomenon that when one long-term partner goes, the other follows soon thereafter. Seems kind of symmetrical, doesn't it?
