I think I read it before the movie, I can't remember, but I liked both. What a crime that Malcolm and Martin were both killed when they were only in their 30s.
Great book, I went to a mostly black high school and read it then. He is someone I look up to.(Malcolm)

It's one of my favorites. I've read it several times. Maybe ironically he was someone I really related to.
