Talking of holocaust memorials Joe tell me about the discriminatory inscription on the American memorial -

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum quotes the following text as one of the many poetic versions of the speech:[2][3]

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

A longer version by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, a charity established by the British government, is as follows:[4]

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Even the British version is discriminatory as it excludes the mentally ill & congenitally diseased, the homosexuals, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Sinti & Roma people.

Why is this Joe?

[en.m.wikipedia.org]...

They did it to annoy you.

@barjoe they don't know that I exist.

Putin is quite prepared to destroy the whole of Ukraine so that he can have it for himself.

Those who fail to condemn him are complicit in his acts of murder.

Is that true for Putin only?
Condemn one, condemn all. Otherwise it's just repeating PC, flavour of the month crap. Click bait.

@puff that sounds like puerile Australian, English or American behavior. Are you sure that you're not projecting onto Putin?

@FrayedBear Big announcement by happy clapper skidmark yesterday, gifting Ukraine $70million in "lethal aid" (including missiles he exclaimed). Meanwhile, major floods but any announcements of "nonlethal aid" for the people he represents?
Covid last week, Ukraine this week, Constant crisis every week is our world atm, but just one crisis at a time we should focus on. too much to process otherwise.

@puff thought that I made a post or comment on that but can't find it so perhaps it has been knocked off. The latest disasters are the floods - extreme even for Australia - oh & the PM getting covid.

@puff whoops forgot the sarcasm alert

Those who rail against Russia's invasion of Ukraine but stay silent on Yemen, Myanmar etc need to take a good look at themselves. Sane people don't cheer any imperial military adventures.
Keep pumping that money into NATO the destroyers of Libya, they are doing such a good job defending Europe.

Whataboutism is the last resort of a weak argument.

@barjoe as military intervention is a sign of failed foreign policy.
