Davies won the Templeton Prize. I searched on it and in Wikipedia found The Templeton prize was originally awarded to people working in the field of religion. Mother Teresa was the first winner. In the 1980s the scope broadened to include people working at the intersection of science and religion.
The Prize’s full name? Templeton prize for progress toward research or discoveries about spiritual realities.

Well that's interesting. I wouldn't have thought it.

@rainmanjr It’s more religious than I thought. Wikipedia lists all the winners. Most are religious leaders. The prize in dollars is more than the Nobel Prize.
