CNBC obtained a list of nearly 20 corporations and trade groups that are said to have RSVP’d to attend a swanky three-day retreat hosted by the Republican Attorneys General Association.
The list of attendees includes lobbyists and executives from CNBC’s corporate parent Comcast, Match Group, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Anheuser-Busch, Juul Labs, Koch Industries, Lowe’s and Walmart.
The private gathering is being hosted starting this weekend at the luxurious Breakers resort in Palm Beach, Florida, where the cheapest room Sunday is more than $800 a night. ...
So what else is new? We live in a plutocracy, so no wonder the masters doing the bribing want to have some comfy face time with their bribed servants and there is no embarrassment or shame for them doing so. The servants have no need to meet with the peasants, err, the voters, except for a short time before elections.
