Would that not then be like someone who distrusted their fellow humans so much, that they felt that they could not be governed to morality by reason and objective truth alone, however good the education. And that the only way to gain control was though brain manipulation, based on fairy stories, which would somehow magical provide the only defence against anarchy possible.

Now who do I know who thinks like that ?
