Times have changed.
Brendan, my 29-year-old grandson, and housemate has been turned on to Jesus. Not sure how that happened, but the results are quite annoying and hilarious. But there are benefits: I don't have to ask him multiple times to do something. He is always preaching to me, and I preach right back to him, but so far it has not turned into shouting matches. Today I had to tell him that the toilet is plugged up and that I could not unplug it. He got right up, disappeared into the bathroom, and came back, glowing with success.
"You fixed it?" I asked.
"I fixed it, with Jesus by my side," he answered.
" I thought Jesus trained as a carpenter,"I said
"With him, all things are possible," Brendan said smugly.

Oh, I so look forward to many home improvement projects successfully completed.

Let's hope he eventually gets enough world experience that he doesn't have to have someone beside him when he wants to do something

If I waited for jesus to help me do something I would still be trying to get through the door in kindergarten.

Good luck with that, there are none so aggravating as the newly reformed.
