Are oats a wholegrain? If so I'm all for my porridge!
In Australia lookout for Lowan.

Since I stopped eating all carbs except low-starch vegetables, I have achieved entirely normal lipids (triglycerides ran 350 +/- for Decades, despite statins) eliminated statins, off 3 diabetes meds & down 25 units of insulin.....soon to be entirely off it, plus lost almost 40 lbs, and normalized my blood pressure for the first time in 50 years.
You can have my grains, too.....I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Congratulations! That's a lot of work to achieve all of that. I'm so happy for you.

@Garban actually, when you cut out all carbs except veggies, in about 3 weeks hunger also disappears.
What a relief! I cannot remember a time when no amount of food was "enough", it's just an awful feeling.......so wonderful to be free of it!

I think whole grains are tastier in every instance.
