Actions speak louder than words, and the US is absolutely going balls-to-the-walls to confront them militarily in regions of essentially zero strategic interest to the US. So Biden can say the most bald faced lies with presidential aplomb. Obama was also so gifted. The Chinese will not be fooled, and time is on their side. Also a wonderful example of how everything the POTUS says is directed at American audiences.

@Lorajay They've gotten considerably worse over my lifetime. So a fair number in the last century. After 9/11 when the Pentagon and corporate America consolidated their control of the media and government, nope. And all I'm saying here is the US wildly building up tits military to confront China and defining our whole military posture as a response to the Chinese "threat" is a wee sit inconsistent with "We don't want a Cold War," nu?
