Thomas Jefferson & others history of ideology

Anyone remember being taught in school about Thomas Jefferson and others being against having a standing army? Or the quote "an education is a better safeguard to liberty than a standing army"

No, I don't remember it. Do an Internet search and ask "did Thomas Jefferson say" and go on to finish the quote. You might also search for Jefferson quotes.

Hard to believe that you don't obviously know that I already studied it? I went hardcore on researching the founders who were against having a standing army when I noticed that one of them was .. hell the anti federalist papers talked about it at some lenth .. Samuel Adams too & others spoke against it
