The amount spent by Russia is nothing in comparison to that of the US. which spent over $800 billion in 2021 probably down compared to 2022 by about $50billion given the extraordinary investment in its Ukrainian proxy war. In comparison Russia only spent a miserable $65.9 billion or less than 10% of the US figure for the year.
That $800 billion represented a staggering 34% of world spending on military.
