Tbh, I'd suggest you make sure you're not skipping out on any remaining balance. You don't want to end up with penalties or legal troubles later on, because I know a few and... they still have some problems with the bank. Have you tried using a Florida closing cost calculator to see if it would be better to pay off the rest now? It's always good to make informed decisions. Anyways, I'm new here and happy to help out
