One of my favorite hiking photos.

As I was changing out of my wet shirt at Lake Colchuck, WA, this male mountain goat walked out of the trees. I froze and watched him warily. He stopped. I took this photo. Mountain goats can be dangerous.

The mountain goat walked past me six feet away. My boyfriend took the picture of me.

It's a steep hike. With high exertion, I sweat heavily. My shirt gets wet and freezes. If I don't change at the top, I get hypothermia.

Beautiful!

I wonder what the goat is looking at? Probably never saw another animal removing it's 'fur' before.

I don't know why it turned it's head. You can see the wary look on my face.

I focused on the mountain goat's face when I took this photo. Love the dark green background.
