It reminds me of the story of the American billionaire who built himself a nuclear proof home during the height of the cold war paranoia. He was just laying a commemorative inscribed brick when an Apache rode up & killed him with a bow & arrow.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.In the US military the M1 Abrams tank has been largely been steadily replaced by the M1A2 Abrams since the 1990s.
The M1 apparently had a habit of being destroyed by "friendly fire" of the nine known to have been destroyed in combat, seven were victims of friendly fire, the other two were destroyed by US forces rather than leave them for enemy combatants, because they had broken down and could not be repaired.
The obsolete remaining stock are now being gifted to the Ukrainians because they are just taking up space.
