LINK Undercooked mushrooms served at Montana restaurant tied to outbreak that left two diners dead and dozens ill

The schroom grows near the roots of mature oak trees. I had one morel one year & let it spore hoping that I would enhance their spread. I am still waiting. I do eat the horses mane which are easy to identify. [images.search.yahoo.com]

I have had morels and chantrelle mushrooms but I picked them myself, not sure I'd actually trust someone else.

No doubt the notoriously hard to clean morels had decomposed bird/animal poop in their nooks and crannies...morels are Always classified as delicious and desirable, never a threat in and of themselves.
