I clicked on the link provided and a short synopsis came up about the New Deal. It was not very long at all.
The New Deal is very along the lines of Lincoln in thinking that the gov does have a roll to play in leveling the playing and creating opportunity for the non-wealthy.

How do I find the longer version that you refer to?

I’ll see if I can find a better link. It’s about ten separate pages you have to keep hitting “next”. That was just the last page.
