Israel’s Other Defeat
April 9, 2024
The Palestinian Al-Aqsa Flood Operation placed Israel in a historic dilemma that Netanyahu’s comfortable Knesset majority will not be able to resolve, writes Ramzy Baroud.
If the Haredi lose their privileges, Netanyahu’s government [which depends on ultra-Orthodox parties for its parliamentary majority] is likely to collapse; if they maintain them, the other government, the post Oct.-7 war council, is likely to collapse as well.
An end to the Gaza war, even if branded as a “victory” by Netanyahu, will only further the polarization and deepen Israel’s worst internal political struggle since its founding on the ruins of historic Palestine. A continuation of the war will add to the schisms, as it will only serve as a reminder of an irremediable defeat.
A fascinating and enlightening article
I thought so but I suspect they've allowed him to go much too far.
Did you see that they are targeting Hamas & Hezbollah leaders & their families?
@FrayedBear Yes they have not admitted to it yet but Israel apparently bombed Iran this morning and killed the three sons of a Hamas leader, yet Biden is still stuttering his way through a speech claiming to offer "Iron Clad" loyalty to Israel. Iran meanwhile is threatening reprisals on Israel and that of course means at best Gulf war 3 and at worst World war 3.
Meanwhile Zelenskyy is lowing the draft age and threatening to draft women, and half the population has been caught doing a runner, because they do not want to fight in hopeless war anymore.
@LenHazell53 the dads army clip is most appropriate.
Sure there's not a typo in your post about Z lowering the draft age? IMO it should be graft not draft. . . slaves for BlackRock?
