To give Nordstrom Rack (and the police, in this instance) their due, this sounds more like an instance of one older white customer acting in a white panic. Still, NR stepped up, apologized, and is also conducting an internal review of its policies and training program. Sigh. I hope that maybe these young men and the Starbucks dudes and the Waffle House women AT LEAST, in addition to their apologies, got some GREAT gift cards to said stores. Words are good; institute your training programs by all means; but spread a little $ to those affected, too!
