LINK Starbucks apologizes to customer who had a racial slur written on his cup - The Washington Post
"Beaner" rather than this guy's name was written on his drinks when he picked them up. Starbuck's has issued an apology and offered him a giftcard. (He declined the giftcard.) This is the latest instance of Starbuck's employees behaving badly. May 29th all Starbucks will close for the afternoon to engage in implicit-bias training recognition workshops. I applaud them for that but am afraid that one afternoon will be just a drop in the bucket.
