Now, alongside worrying about being hassled by the cops for doing whatev while being black, there's now ALSO the newer problem of being hassled by ICE (or the police acting for ICE) for "being Hispanic"...and prob targeting other immigrant groups as well, but ESP. Hispanic. VA doesn't have "sanctuary cities," but our police chief and local head of state police have gone on record to say that they will ONLY be addressing the issues for which the officer was called for specifically and NOT asking folk for immigration ID. (In other words, they are not going to become ICE agents.)
