Pitbulls are more than one breed, these days - they're now, often, a random classification of a wide-mouthed,smooth coated, mid-large sized, muscular dog... and they, like most animals, are capable as being well behaved/loving pets, OR vicious harmful creatures, depending on how they're treated.
Better to get rid of those who mistreat a dog than a whole breed & beyond!
