LINK Tesla 'Autopilot' implicated in emergency-vehicle crash

Why is it that Tesla gets the blame in the media when a driver takes his hands off the wheel to check his phone and crashes into something? The media never blames the vehicle when it doesn't have driver assist and does the same thing.

For the same reason gun control is forgotten when an armed citizen takes down a shooter.

Happens about as often too. I could understand if Teslas were crashing everyday while the Autopilot was on and the driver's hands were on the wheel, you know, like mass shootings in the US.

@Surfpirate
It's all about money buying the media to invoke fear. I recently resigned from a company that had a contract with Tesla, and I am extremely around to have been a part of the future taking place.

@Holysocks I found it so hypocritical for a past president of GM to be quoted as saying that Tesla would be out of business by 2019 because Elon Musk didn't know how to run a business. This coming from a man who begged for bail out money and spent decades undermining any attempts to get the auto industry away from fossil fuels. No doubt the Koch brothers sent him a cheque for services rendered.
