Today,I wish I had an emotion chip like Data. One of my cat family has been sick and he passed this morning. I have such a hard time losing them and having major depression just floors me emotionally. I just go into a zombie like state for days. I feel like I am falling apart one piece at a time. How do you folks resond to such things?

I respond to losing a cat friend just like I do when I lose a human friend. It hurts, and I grieve deeply. But, I pick up and move on. Still, I have vivid memories of my cat and human friends which I call upon frequently with joy. Those memories are among my greatest treasures.

They are energy too and they don't die, in fact, if you look later you might find the same little soul makes it back to you.

I'm sorry man. I've lost quite a few furred family along the way.

Yeah, it puts you in a fugue state, but you just gotta keep moving on. Break down when your heart tells you to, but don't let it make you give up.
