what's going on? 8) around? 😮

If you look close it's a doe with a nursing fawn. She is turned to nuzzle the baby.

What sort of critter is that? In Pennsylvania? What's a game cam? 😉

It's a whitetail deer. A game came is basically a night vision camera activated by a motion detector.

@JimG That's spooky looking. It looks like a dog/monkey creature. The dark side of Bambi ! And I assumed it was an actual 'game cam', but there are a lot of gamers out there and the image could have been from a console. One never knows 😉

I've thought about something similar for my yard. I'm not sure I want 'ghostly gremlins', but probably do.

@AstralSmoke it's an a IR camera. So the imaging is based on heat signatures warmer areas are lighter.

@JimG Yes, is that a super power we want? I'm making a list of possible future genetic mutations. You're right, you can't find dead bodies very easily with Infrared. I can see the deers head now that you pointed it out in @walklightly 's comment. Thanks for your patience 🙂

@AstralSmoke I used to play with very high end night vision equipment, and you can see some amazing things when nothing knows you're watching. It can also be difficult to identify animals when they turn at unfamiliar angles or unusual positions (like this deer). If you can watch animals in their natural environment without scaring them, they'll normally show you a recognizable silhouette.

@JimG Yes, patience! Does your camera transmit images to your computer or is the info stored on the camera?
