Just the other afternoon - I went to collect an egg from one of my girls - and this yellow rat had beaten me to it ! It was a beauty, and large - over 5ft. Guess the hens are helping this one get larger still !

I've always loved snakes , and have had several of varying species, I used to take to schools to educate people about them. I love that this beauty lives in my yard. This just taught me to check for eggs a bit earlier if I want my share !
