Went bug hunting after the park with my daughter. We dug up an ant lion (put it back and watched it start its trap again), a pseudoscorpion, a spider that I've never seen before and some sort of flying insect unknown to me.

Your unknown is a type of leafhopper generally called a "sharpshooter". I think your spider is an orchard spider (Leucauge venusta) but I'm not 100% certain from the pic. Very cool finds! And I'm so happy to see your little one sharing an interest in insects!

I never dug up an ant lion but I used to feed Ants to them . Christian ants that is .
