Actually I’ve found those two black rat snakes in the same tree every year for the last 8 years! They may be a pair. I’m not sure, but black rats tend to be creatures of habit. It sucks though that the tree I use to lean over the edge to take their picture is starting to get loose from the soil. It’s probably not safe anymore to do so.
