I've just finished cooking Alsatian Bronte's chicken. I've turned it into rice porridge. Having tasted how scrummy it is I'm also going to post it in "Food Glorious Food"!
Bronte is a very reluctant eater, has some food intolerance - beef & lamb, since coming out of the puppy farm. She is not food oriented - only the prospect of walks & ball chasing get her excited! She's as skinny as Twiggy & now quite old for a big dog being 14+ years in age.
Recipe & method: 1 chicken breast diced into ½" cubes braised in a pan of water with a teaspoon of ghee & 3 squirts of Vietnamese fish sauce.
⅓ cup of rice finely ground into flour then added to the boiling stock. For variety oatmeal & or dessicated coconut can be added either turned into flour or chopped to make instant oats.
When thickened allow to cool.
Add to meals as required.
I'll report back as to how she goes with it. So far a spot on the end of my finger rubbed under her lip kept her licking for about half a minute. I tasted it before her & found it delicious.
