One of my cats loves to test the law of gravity. I have to be careful about items on my kitchen table. So far, she has pushed off (and broken): two lamps, three Brita pitchers, a large glass bowl, a blender, a vase, two drinking glasses and two coffee cups. I might have left out something .... I would carefully sweep up the shards, and wipe the kitchen floor, but still for a couple of weeks my bare feet would find the shards, ow, ow, ow .... I wonder why cats feel a need to push things off tables and other surfaces??
It is true .. flat earth ... cats would have pushed off everything. BTW, I also was born in 1954 and I am eccentric.
Well you never know when gravity will shut off. Cats have taken the responsibility to always keep checking. You just never know.

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
