2 months ago I posted about the death of my childhood pet. Yesterday we lost another fur baby to terminal kidney failure. This is her last photo before we put her down. She was a beautiful Siamese who loved to lick my face. She is still here in my memories.

I am so sad to hear that. 
We lost our beautiful Rummy last year (she was almost 21) to kidney failure. Her sister, Tess, is almost 22 now and is going downhill fast - it breaks my heart to know that her days left with us are numbered. But for today - she licks my nose and still wants to be held and loved.

Most of my cats died having suffered from kidney failure. I tried to keep them as healthy as I could, to help our love last. As their lives drew to a close it seemed to deepen, then they're gone. Is that how you felt, Mike? Damn it's sad... I'm so sorry. Sorry Miiji. I can see just from the one photo she was feeling very, very sick there.

I am so very sorry for your loss(es). It's hard. Especially the early days.
I can tell you with time comes some wonderful memories though. You might consider old-fashioned printing a photo or two and framing them? I found a lot of comfort in doing that for my pets that have died.
Miiji was gorgeous.

Yeah she was. Memories of every time I finish eating she climbs up to lick my face. Going to miss her.
@Tyrantmike I hear you - I had one that used to wrestle me for the cereal bowl - and I still think of Orion every time I have cereal.
It's hard when you have little things you do with them. But then again - that's what we love about them too - and what makes them special.
