Hi My one of my cats piddled my bed again (my vet says its the one with kidney failure, I think its the other one who did it when she was young) Even though we use 6 hour soaks in oxy clean, vinegar wash and the regular wash, used nature's mirical on the mattress, sealed it in a plastic liner over laid it with another one that can be removed, got all new bed linens. One month ok then wamo last night it happened again! Any one have any suggestions? I am cleaning the litter daily...
In the pet section , there's a chemical available that removes the smell of cat urine , that simply washing in the machine doesn't remove . I spray and let it set over night , then run the laundry in the morning . Completely takes the smell out . I keep a spare litter box in the bedroom , on the off chance that one of the cats accidently gets locked in there , but always try to keep the bedroom door closed , with them on the outside .
Is it the same spot? If so get a washable pee pad. One made for humans. (Incontinence pad - washable).
One or two of those lets her enjoy the bed. And stops the large washes.
If you need help finding them let me know - I am sure they are online.
Thank you very much. It was a different new spot this time on new bedding. I may have to get those and tape a quilt of them to the bed if we decide to let them back up...

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
