Back when I was doing "Extra Work" for rmovies & TV shows, we were shooting in the Ambassador Hotel, which has long been closed because it doesn't meet earthquake standards, and they can't tear it down because it is listed as a Historical site (Robert Kennedy was assasinated there). So, anyway because the hotel has been closed for a really long time, and they can't reopen or do upgrades because it woudl ruin the historic architecture, they keep several dozen(mostly feral) cats there to keep down th rat population.

Se the room we were shooting in was set up like a dining room. They had to leave the doors open because the cables on the floor would nto let them close the doors. Anyway, about half the "takes" were ruined because a few not so feral, but very friendly cats would come in and hop up on table, or saunter into the camera frame. Those of us who were sitting at the dining tables we very amused by it, as were a few members of the crew, but the director was really pissed off... right up until that scene was warpped. Then he came out laughing aobut it all.

It was a really good day.

Anyway, the cat in the Meme sitting like he belonged there just reminded me of that.

Should be the commander.

Things have become much more lax in the service.
