I've had as many as 27 at one time. But I ran a rescue at the time. Now I have 5 full time residents and 1 drop in. 2 dogs and 1 drop in of those too

A few years ago, I fed the strays/feral ones in my neighborhood. I enjoyed watching them and made up names for them. It blew up in my face. It attracted so many, I found that I was making the feral ones dependent on me. It made me sad to stop feeding them.
