Just say NO to the nip..lol
The dog certainly knows how to handle the cat, by the scruff.
That reminds me of a story told to me by a man who lives in the village where I work... one day, he was walking his husky in the fields near where he lives when it suddenly started to disobey his commands and kept running ahead of him. When he got close enough, he saw it had something furry in its mouth, and he assumed it had found a dead rat or squirrel and didn't want to give it up, so he tried to grab the dog but it ran off in the direction of home, so he headed for home too. When he got there, his partner had let the dog in - and the "dead rat" turned out to be a tiny lost kitten, which still lives with them to this day (but it's a great big tomcat now).
Such a cool story.
@Sundown, my cats brought home bunnies when I was a kid. Big dinner.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
