I really never thought I'd feel any affection for NASCAR anything. Living in Indy very near Speedway for some years really turned me cold to NASCAR culture and fans.

That being said this response from NASCAR drivers to the noose that was hung in Bubba Wallace's garage, gives me hope for change.

This is quite a message sent to the diehard fans of NASCAR that live to hate.

I'm not a racing fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this made my day.

BTW, NASCAR should point out to the racist Bubbas that they still fly one Confederate battle flag.

I read the NASCAR bosses statement this morning, and it read very genuinely to me. I am happy to see this. There is NO excuse for a noose. It's good to see so many in that crowd standing up behind that sentiment.
