Police are getting too militarized military equipment they are too ready to play soldier, scary. This is not a police state and we must keep it that way

BobWJR – I may suggest you read Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Police Forces by Radley Balko. I found it very interesting discussion on the use of military equipment by city and county police and sheriffs. Our former Police chief in Columbia, MO, read my copy and agreed that the PD depends too much on the militarization of the PDs in Missouri. [amazon.com]

The full on militarization got going in earnest after the first gulf war and excess equipment. With such long wars the equipment keeps adding up. I've seen a small city of 12k with an armoured personnel carrier. Why? Just Why?

The militarization of the police is all part of the plan to control the population for when global warming passes the tipping point and social collapse begins to threaten the 1%.
