It's one of the few "Christmas" songs I have in my phone, and it makes me bawl every time I play it. Love Tim Minchin! Very funny, clever and witty. I also have his beat poem "Storm" which is a funny story.

@Robecology I can't read the article, but I've seen videos of his concerts, where his fans ask him to sing that song, even when not anywhere near holiday time. I personally don't celebrate Christmas, but the song still makes me cry. Living in a warm climate where my parents would celebrate Christmas and I in turn brought my kids during the holidays, I only have the memories of family members, long gone, but the song seems to yank at that invisible string of nostalgia, not connected to religion whatsoever, about family.

Is he an actor? Or am I thinking of someone that looks like him? I can't remember what I saw him in or I'd Google the movie to see the actor's name.
