Longtime Floridians - Dorian thoughts?
I want to hear your predictions! Up until yesterday I'd have put some money on the track moving further and further north. That is looking less likely now - though not impossible - and it's expected to be stronger than I'd been thinking as well. I don't have great confidence in the track but I think they're probably pretty close when it comes to the wind strength.
In my experience, all Floridians turn into experts when a storm is coming - what do you all think?

I think it's the same each time a hurricane stirs up. Too many "what ifs", too much panic, too little preparation - till the last minute.
During the season - from June to November, everyone who lives in hurricane country needs to have a plan, supplies, and escape route - if needed.
Speculating on exactly what a storm will do, and where, is, as I see it, a total waste of energy. It's gonna do what it's gonna do - and any of that can change at any time. Stay calm, think, prepare.

I think predictions put it at Cat 3 when it hits FL, latest spaghetti models have the eye more likely in the middle of the peninsula, near Port Saint Lucie, I'm in FLL so might not be that big of a deal down here.
