Do children raised by religious parents have better social and psychological development than those raised in non-religious homes? In a new study, researchers found that religion can be a mixed blessing for children as they get older.

Obviously any successful organization devoted to curbing radical behaviors will attract members with radical behaviors. As any such organization evolves it's member dictate the direction. Thus the organization and it's members become a mediocrity, a slightly radicalized version of the general population with potential for worse.

I grew up in a 50/50 religious family. Dad was not religious; mother was.
I went to a private religious school and finished valedictorian; look at me now. I’m here.
Religion is social by nature for worship, but child psychology is made up at birth and built as much by what they experience at home and their common surroundings than a few hours at church.
It’s mostly what happens at home I would be prone to believe.
