I am "AMAZED" that on the 'day of virgin births' that every coffee shop and pub can be forced to be closed. Maybe the like of that could happen thousands of years ago--- what is the exuse of that happening now? "Virgin births!!! Ya, ya- ha, ha--- just how funny can it get???

Before Walmart, we did have some blue laws that prohibited stores being open on Sunday but I don't think they have them anymore.
I think they are closed by choice because some restaurants in my city are open, and there is also the extra pay for working holidays issue.

Agreed! Extra pay is good- but I don't think a person should be forced to work on a holiday.
