you can change in a given situation. but an introvert will resort to his/her basic instincts otherwise.

You can change your behavior (DO different things), but it is harder to change your basic nature. You can go out and join groups or clubs, but it will be harder for you because it takes more energy for an introvert to engage in those activities.
