My sweet little rescue dog is allergic to grass. I am starting some moss and thinking of clover has anyone some suggestions for grass replacement that is not too invasive?

Pea gravel.

Thank you, I think I will designate a little area for pea gravel and sand maybe a dry river bed looking area?

Just out of curiosity , pollen has been very high this year . Are you sure the grass is the problem , and not tree pollen coating the grass ?

TY for asking but the vet said so and she has this problem year round, though I am sure the pollen does not help.

Many round our way use artificial grass or white river pebbles.

My little pound puppy Maggie is also allergic to grass. A couple of weeks ago she had gotten to where she was practically gasping for air the whole time she was outside. I called her vet and she suggested one half the adult dosage of an allergy medication. The one I use is Zyrtec.

Since I started giving one half a pill to Maggie each morning she has almost totally quit coughing and sneezing. She only weighs 14 pounds, so that is why the vet suggested starting with one half of a pill per day. The grass is still seeding and the allergy count for grass is high.

If you have not already checked with your vet about allergy medication, you might want to try that before you take out all of your grass.

Thanks so much, I do give her a benadryl at night and that does help but she has chewed all the hair off her paws from the grass. We can try giving her the medicine

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
