The last 3 are my front yard. I am planting clover and go natural - no chemicals, fertilizers or weed killers.

I can't stand the amount of grass I have. I am slowly planting and landscaping as much as I can to reduce the amount of grass.
I had never heard of clover as substitute.

@Zoohome, @Shouldbefishing yes - white clover & they have something called micro-clover which is suppose to be a bit smaller [shorter]. Most of what I have growing is wild but I did buy a little for some dead spots. My biggest problem is the short legs of my Yorkies 
white clover grows about 4" their legs are only 3".........
