Blimey, the sparrows haven't even finished with their "morning farts" and already I have 4 Magpies, 6 Corellas, 13 Wood-pigeons and a pair of Ring-necked Grass Parrots lining on the power lines awaiting the Maitre-de to bring forth their repast.

Picked 9 1/2 lbs of Raspberries today - still more to ripen - looks like some Raspberry wine will be made... I will wash and freeze them on sheet pans and then pack in vacuum bags for freezer storage until I finish with the harvest.

My lettuce experiment....( thanks too hot, dry weather!) How can a lettuce plant bolt? 4 feet and climbing! Can't wait for it to bloom. Lol. Has anyone ever cooked lettuce like spinach? I vaguely remember my Mom doing that when lettuce got unruly.
