I got this little guy about 5 yrs ago, a little splurge when it was less than a foot tall. It is a Dwarf Chamaecyparis Obtusa Gracilis. It is supposed to max out at 36", and with a western exposure it seems to like the afternoon sun and is now 35" in it's second potting. I love the many false cypress for their rich colors and graceful, artistic forms!

It's a beaut!

Wish I could talk to him he probably would say keep the dogs and cat piss out of my roots

Fortunately he gets none of that, but there is a squirrel or two who will occasionally bury treats in the pot.

looks like it has reached the mature size. Correct?
Cool looking plant. Love the shape

Just about, which is perfect for that space beside my garage door!

@tinkercreek how often do you water it?

@Zoohome It's not a big drinker, and I vary that with our weather. We'll have no rain now for over a week, temps in the high 70's through 80's, so I will give it a sprinkle probably every other day and more as it gets hotter.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
