This was my Rosemary I had, love just going out there and cutting a piece off and cooking with it. I miss that.

I got one of the prostrate forms as a ground cover. It seems to be doing well in spite of the hot winds we're having.

This was grown in Golden Valley Arizona. And it does get hot and dry and very windy but I had it on the south side of my house the winds came from the north. It sure does like a lot of water though and I had to haul water.

Not only for the cooking part but I used to make rosemary jelly to it was also good to use for dipping your meat in before you eat it. A little sweetness with a little Rosemary flavoring it was very good when I used to eat meat.

I made a pear-honey-rosemary jelly last summer that was amazing on cheese and crackers!

@Stephanie1961 that sounds awesome one time I made lavender jelly everybody liked it but I did not care for it

I remember and old saying that Rosemary only grows in the gardens of the righteous. So I googled that and found some interesting trivia on Rosemary: [pss.uvm.edu]

Oh my God are you serious I did not know that oh well I'm not righteous that's for sure

It grow well up here in the Porltand area.

Or-Humanist Level 7 May 21, 2018

I bet it does with all the rain we get here. I know they love the Southern Exposure and well drainage and they do not like to be fed.

Wow! Unable to replicate it now?

AmiSue Level 8 May 21, 2018

I live in an apartment now so I do miss my herb garden. The people that bought my house ripped everything out but oh well they don't know what they were missing.

@Sheannutt smile003.gif Try to commandeer a tiny patch somewhere on the property! You clearly have some talent for growing!

@AmiSue not allowed to just like with animals not allowed to. Maybe one day I can go somewhere where I can have a garden and have some animals. I miss the farm life

Rosemary is wonderful in cooking! That's a healthy specimen!

Ellatynemouth Level 8 May 21, 2018

Yes it is and if you cut it and put it under your throw rugs if you have them every time you step on them they give off a great aroma it is good for you.

Rosemary is good for the memory
