Squash bugs.. just a nuisance or crop killer? suggestions?
By "squash bugs" are you referring to the squash vine borer? Just wondering.
Yes, as Sheannutt says, they will desiccate your plants. I've tried Neem oil and it was like fertilizer! If I get squash bugs this year, I'll try some of the soap sprays. The only thing I've found that works is to just pull up the plants and deny the bugs a host. But, that's just my experience. I probably let the infestation reach a level that was too great and got overwhelmed!
in years past they have taken over the plants here... need to find a foil for them
