For all you chilly people 2 winters ago I bought from Aldi a winter grade sleeping bag made as a fitted suit. The mittens and bootees are detachable but they forgot to put a drop down flap or removable crutch in for men and women in a hurry.
I found it excellent in the cold of the Blue Mountains 2 wintrrs ago. When it got really cold sleeping wrapping a faux fur blanket around in bed kept me snug as a bug in a rug.

btw, that jumper would be perfect if it covered the whole foot.

@Lauren depends on how cold it is & how much you want to save on heating.
