Indeed - we owe a debt of gratitude to the anti-vax anti-government-control folk who passed on simply because they didn't want to get vaccinated!
Fauci: More than 99% of people who died from COVID-19 in June were not vaccinated
Those dying now are almost all those who are unvaccinated in red states. And yet you still have Republicans who claim the vaccine doesn't work, doesn't provide immunity, or causes severe illness. Um, yeah, pretty much 100% who died were not vaccinated.
Maybe the anti-vaxxers won't get vaccinated, but herd immunity will happen when enough of the wackos have caught Covid.
@powder you obviously don't understand what the vaccine is or does. It reduces the virus's ability to kill or severely infect. 99.2 % of the June infections and 100% of the deaths in June were unvaccinated people. The CDC never claimed that it conferred immunity for all, but that it reduced the risk of contracting the disease and that if you were to get the disease, it would be milder than otherwise.
