In October of 1992, Sinead O'Connor tore up a picture of JPII on SNL.

She did that in protest of the systemic cover-up of child sexual abuse by the catholic church.
She caught a lot of shit for it, and her career was sorely damaged by speaking out.
Those who vilified her for what she did are just as bad as the bishops and others who
played musical pedophiles. They were ALL complicit then, and they're still
ALL complicit now.

Here we are, nearly 26 years later, and NOTHING has changed.
Nothing.

And Joe Pesci STILL owes Sinead an enormous apology.
